Enable USB Debugging on your device.Goto setting>>>developer>>>Tick USB debugging.
Download CWM RECOVERY,CWM KERNEL and Android Kitkat 4.4 Rom For galaxy y
Now look at for step updating your device
Step-1
Copy all downloaded files into your sd card.And turn off your device.
Step-2
Press volume up+Home button+Power on button Togather
Your phone going to safe mode
Step-3
Now select option with volume up and down for movement and home buttion use for selection process
Select update from sd card and aelect CWM Now you are in CWM recovery screen. Select Install from SD card.
Step-4
Select CyanogenMod.zip from the list after installing select reboot recovery.
Step-5
Format Factory Data system, Cache & Dalvik Cache.
Step-6
After that select install rom from sd card and select kitkat rom
Process going on .......
The booting process takes upto 15-20min.Now you have latest android kitkat 4.4 updated on galaxy y
